La video est assez longue cette fois, vous avez droit à plein de détails!
Vous vous demandez où est passé tout mon foutoir à custo et à couture?
Q:So, the reunion of Pierrot reminded me about something. Is there any information you can find on the original reason for them disbanding. I know it was a long time ago, sorry. But I heard it was something to do with Kirito's behaviour causing Aiji to leave, and Kirito begged Aiji to stay in the band, but Aiji refused and left anyway, which meant they never had a disbandment live? I can't remember where I read this, I think it was on a pretty old tanuki translation place, but I'm not sure.
Man, everyone wanting me to rehash why bands broke up eight years ago. Christ.
Luckily for you, PIERROT is not some tiny, unpopular band I barely know anything about.
Firstly, yes PIERROT didn’t do a last live. They announced their breakup in April of 2006 and never did anything after that. This led to some initial speculation that the new performances are just them doing belated last lives. The fact that they started up a “limited time” fan club, though, makes people think they might keep going for a little while.
So as to their breakup. Yes, the general gossip was that there was some sort of infighting between the Angelo faction (Kirito/Kohta/Takeo) and the guitarists (Jun/Aiji), or more specifically between Aiji and Kirito. There are several different ideas about what the fighting was about, from simple personality clashes to desire to do other projects.
One of the stories is that Aiji wanted to do solo/another project and Kirito told him no (immensely hypocritical considering that Kirito was putting out solo albums while Pierrot was still together). This is possibly why Aiji was doing LM.C in secret (before the band’s official debut, Aiji showed up to pretty much all their lives as a “secret” guest, presumably not telling the Pierrot members).
For your lolz, here is one 2ch user’s satirical post about the end of Pierrot.
Aiji: I want to do solo.
Kirito: Wait until after we finish the album.
Aiji: When we finish the album, I’ll do solo work.
Kirito: Okay, I’ll do solo work too.
Aiji: Oh fuck. It’s hard to do solo work. In a year, I couldn’t do anything.
Kirito: Right? Well, our agreed upon year has passed, so let’s do Pierrot.
Aiji: No, I want to do solo work.
Kirito: You promised.
Aiji: But I wanna.
Kirito: The fans are waiting for us. Please! -prostrates self-
Aiji: I don’t care about the fans. I want to do solo work.
Kohta: Go die.
Kirito: That’s no good.
